Gregg Shimanski has been in the real estate development, brokerage, and management business since 1972 and went on to start his own firm at the age of 23 in 1974.
Today he oversees a company and staff that manage his personal portfolio that consists of 420 residential, office, and retail units in Madison and the surrounding area.
Susan Brown is currently the Senior Property Manager for Gregg Shimanski Realty, Inc. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and has been involved in Residential Property Management for 15 years. She is responsible for overseeing the management and operations of Gregg Shimanski Realty, Inc.’s scattered site housing units. Susan is a Madison resident and enjoys in her free time hiking, running, and participating in triathlons.
Ben is one of the Property Managers, he is also the Social Media Director and Maintenance Coordinator. Prior to joining our team Ben spent 4 years living and working in Phoenix. During his time in the Valley of the Sun, Ben worked as a Leasing Agent, Assistant Manager, and Property Manager for some of the top Property Management companies in Phoenix.
Alicia Schoon is the Accounting Supervisor / Office Manager at Gregg Shimanski Realty, Inc. She started working for Gregg Shimanski in 2014. Alicia is responsible of all accounting tasks from data entry to financial statements and oversees the business office to keep the day to day business operations running efficiently. Her educational background consists of a Business Management Diploma and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
Josh Zastrow has been serving as the Grounds Supervisor for Gregg Shimanski Realty, Inc. since November of 2009. Josh maintains the exterior aesthetics and curb appeal of all company owned properties in the Madison and surrounding areas. He oversees all aspects of landscape maintenance including turf grass management, plant bed care and design, tree pruning, exterior lighting, and snow removal. Josh built his position with the company from the ground up, using his education and background in horticulture and environmental studies, his proficiency in landscaping, and his Wisconsin-bred hard working attitude.
Richard has been with Gregg Shimanski Realty since the early 2000’s. Richard is one of our Maintenance Technicians and an all-around handyman. Richard keeps the interiors and exteriors of our buildings looking great. In addition to maintaining the properties, Richard also assists in snow removal and landscaping. With all of his maintenance knowledge it’s hard to believe 35 years ago he was working as a bakery manager!
Scott Shimanski has been working for Gregg Shimanski Realty since April 2015. His role in the company is primarily remodeling of apartments after tenants have moved out. This work may range from more cosmetic improvements to complete remodels that include all new cabinets, new doors, casing and baseboard, paint, and flooring.
